Learning Disability Services- Community Assertive Support Team

The Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust Learning Disability service provides a range of specialist health services for adults (aged 18 plus) with learning disabilities.

CAST is a specialist community team who support service users aged 18 years + with a learning disability and behaviours that challenge services. CAST work in the environment where the behaviours are presenting eg: home, school, college, day centre. A positive behavioural approach is used and CAST work with the service user, families and carers to identify the reason for the behaviour, develop approaches to reduce the behaviour and prevent placement breakdown or hospital admission.
