Athena School caters for secondary age pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school ethos is underpinned by nurturing principals which aim to develop the whole child in preparation for challenges of adult life.
The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of individual pupils at Key Stage 3, all pupils work within a nurture group following a tailor made curriculum with ‘REAL’ outcomes and purpose.
Building on this secure base at Key Stage 3, pupils at Key stage 4 are then equipped to tackle the challenge of GCSE’s or equivalent courses.
It is the aim of all stakeholders to develop pupil's self-esteem, confidence and belief in themselves and others; this will enable pupils to take the next steps in their educational career path and enable each pupil to achieve their full potential.
