Activity Alliance - English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS)
We are the national charity and body dedicated to disabled people in sport and physical activity throughout England.
There are around 11 million disabled people in the UK. Only two in ten disabled people in England are currently active. The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) was established in September 1998 as the national body and charity dedicated to disabled people in sport throughout England.
We work closely with a number of key partners to improve and increase the opportunities offered, ensuring disabled people have a memorable experience of sport and physical activity. Our partners include the National Disability Sport Organisations and National Governing Bodies of sport.
If you are a disabled person, EFDS can signpost you to numerous participation opportunities and programmes. Being active is a great way to improve your health and well-being. Whatever level you wish to take part, sport and physical activity can be an enjoyable lifestyle choice.
