Boston Nursery School
Mission statement: Achieving Success together
Ethos:
The ethos of our schools is such that open and supportive relationships exist between all members of our schools communities. Our children report that people listen to them. Children are encouraged to contribute to the life and work of both their school and the wider community through such channels as the school council, extra-curricular clubs and competitions, involvement in local events, and charity and school fund raising.
Our aim is that every child fulfils their potential in a stimulating, safe and caring environment. We achieve this by encouraging close working partnerships with parents and carers.
OFSTED in May 2014 (Kirton) said: 'Equal opportunities are rigorously promoted and no pupil is denied access to anything the school has to offer. The school promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development well, and a strong pastoral programme ensures the all-round development of each pupil.'
The report also states:
'Disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs benefit from receiving good levels of support. This is because work is set at the correct level to help them achieve well. Pupils appreciate this and, in the relaxed and friendly environment, are encouraged to do their best.
