OUR AWARDS

As a school, we have the Healthy Schools accreditation, The International Schools Award, Sainsbury's Bronze Kite-mark for Physical Education, we are Carbon Ambassadors and we are currently working towards gaining the Bronze Award in the Eco-Schools programme.

We are a fully inclusive, mainstream, primary school that makes reasonable adjustments to cater for children with additional needs. In the broadest sense, our school has an excellent awareness of how the environment can impact on individual children so we ensure that all areas of the school are friendly towards children with interaction, communication, physical and learning difficulties. For example, all classrooms use visual timetables and have access to appropriate technology.

All children are well supported within the classroom by highly skilled teachers and teaching assistants. Appropriate adjustments are made to the classroom, teaching and resources to ensure that all children have access to the curriculum.

All staff access up to date training from our Social Communication Outreach Team on Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Language Difficulties.
Specific training is organised, where necessary, such as managing diabetes and training in the use of Epi-Pens. All staff have Team Teach training and First Aid Training and Foundation Stage staff have the Peadiatric First Aid Training.
