3. Annual Health Checks
You can ask your doctor about anything that is worrying or hurting you. Your doctor will also ask you questions and you must try to answer these honestly.
Your doctor may check your;
- Weight and height;
- Blood pressure;
- Chest and tummy
They may also ask;
- For a blood or urine sample;
- About how much alcohol you drink or if you smoke;
- About your sexual health;
- About any medication that you take;
- How you are feeling;
- What food you eat.
Your doctor is there to help and give you advice to make sure you are safe and healthy. After your health check your doctor or nurse will tell you if there are any other people that you need to see.
Not all doctors do health checks but you may still be able to have a health check somewhere else. Your doctor will inform you of this.
