Applying for Transport - Post 16

If an exceptional transport need has been identified, transport will automatically be put in place via a referral from the caseworker and you will not need to apply. If no exceptional transport need is identified, entitlement to transport assistance is determined against the home to school and college transport policy.

Travel cards and passes

You may be able to travel for free on bus services and get a discount on train services if you are disabled and meet the eligible criteria. Rail cards help you save money on most rail fares. There are different types of railcards to suit different types of travellers including a disabled person's railcard.

Travelling independently

There are many schemes within Lincolnshire to help people with a disability travel and get out and about where previously they may not have been able too. There are schemes that will pick you up from your address or accessible minibuses that are available throughout the day.
