Transitions in Early Years
Transitions planning and preparing for adulthood should be encouraged from an early age. Raising aspirations and encouraging children to start thinking about what their future might look like in early years services is important.
The four life outcomes including employment, independent living, community inclusion and health should all be considered in early years. The Department for Education has developed an outcomes tool that is designed for supporting the development of preparing for adulthood outcomes. Click here for more information.
