3. Coping With Body Image
- Think about the magazines and social media accounts you follow. If you find that looking at them makes you feel worse about yourself, then it is OK to stop and have a break from those profiles (unfollow);
- Make a list of your achievements and things you like about yourself. Don't just focus on looks, e.g. people tell me I'm funny, or I am a nice person;
- When someone says something nice (it does happen) try to remember it or write it down in a book/diary. It is easy to forget when someone says something nice and only focus on what was said negatively;
- If a friend or family member is negative about you tell them how it makes you feel. If it is a friend if they don't make you feel good, do you need them in your life?
